FAQ

Everything You Need to Know About Counselling and Hypnotherapy.

Is everything confidential?

Absolutely! I follow The National Counselling Society and National Hypnotherapy Society code of ethics that state that all information discussed in sessions remains confidential, all notes are kept under lock and key and will be securely destroyed after five years. The only instances where any client information could be disclosed is in a court of law, to protect a client's physical well-being or the well-being of another.

What does counselling involve?

To make an appointment just drop me an email or message through this website or Facebook and I will get back to you as soon as I can. When we meet for the first time, either face to face or via Skype or phone, our initial session will cover any necessary paperwork and give us both a chance to get to know one another and explore how we might work together towards achieving your goals. While I understand that it can be daunting to discuss issues of a very personal issue, you are always assured of my respect and understanding.

Each therapy session lasts for one hour. Sessions can be booked weekly, fortnightly or more frequently if needed.

Therapy is open ended in most cases. This means that the number of sessions will depend on the progress made and benefit to prolonging the process.

You can change or cancel your appointment without any charge as long as you provide me with 24 hours notice. Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance will be subject to full payment unless there are exceptional circumstances. Sessions carried out in person can be paid at the time of the appointment. Appointments over Skype or telephone must be paid 24 hours before the session by PayPal in order to secure your appointment.
