Feel Good Happy Chemicals!!

I'd encouraged you all to try to do the 'little things' that make you happy, but thought I'd share some simple tips to release the Happy Chemicals in our brains. I'm sure you've heard of the following chemicals, but it's surprisingly easy to boost them and our mood.



Dopamine: complete a task, tick something off your to-do list; eat good food; get enough sleep.


Oxytocin: play with your pet; give a compliment; hold hands; hug.


Serotonin: be out in nature; meditation; mindfulness; sunlight/daylight.


Endorphins: watch a funny movie; exercise; laughter.
